Pranaa offers various yoga styles that help you develop a practice, specific to your individual needs and capabilities. The yoga styles taught here emphasize linking breath and movement and offer individualized approaches respecting the needs of each person. The focus is on the inner experience and particular healing benefits of each posture rather than on achieving a particular external form. We can help you take your practice to new depths in your life.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga utilizes the practice of asanas (postures) and pranayama (conscious breathing) to enhance health and vitality and to bring about balance in one’s life. Through the practice of asanas and pranayama, along with inner focus, you begin to experience a freedom that may permeate all aspects of your lives. All Hatha yoga classes emphasize correct posture and alignment and build strength, flexibility and concentration. Many of our teachers study and practice different styles of yoga including Kripalu, Scaravelli, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Integral Yoga Therapy and more. Some teachers teach the traditions in their pure form; others draw from their training in a combination of the traditions, which is simply referred to as “Hatha style”, “multi-style” or “eclectic”.
