Psychotherapist and yoga teacher Thom Allen has been sharing his passion for yoga wellness for more than 25 years. Students enjoy his unique style that is mentally stimulating, physically exhilarating and spiritually inspiring. With experience ranging from restorative therapeutics and meditation to power yoga flow, Thom works with a variety of populations ranging from those with terminal illnesses and their caregivers to corporate executives and professional athletes.


Angie is a strong believer in the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Her journey started with lower back pain and a wonderful yoga teacher that changed her life. In 2000, after completely switching from an engineering career to the field of alternative therapies, she made it her goal to promote a healthier, natural way of living.

Angie is a Traditional Naturopath and a Certified Yoga Teacher, holds also a yoga therapy certification from Purna Yoga and a restorative yoga certification from Judith Lasater. Her background in natural therapies helps her emphasize the therapeutic benefits of yoga. Her teaching is Iyengar based, focusing on correct alignment and the use of props, both meant to avoid injury and help mastering of the poses. Angie remains grateful to the teachers she studied and worked with – for their wisdom, their knowledge, their patience and for the inspiration she drew from them: Ronit Perez, Judith Lasater, Roger Cole, Aadil Palkhivala, Anne Patterson and Randy Just.


Prakash is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher and a dedicated practitioner for over 10 years.  He continues to study under the guidance of Randy Just and other Senior and Advanced level yoga teachers in the Iyengar lineage including Eddy Marks, Mary Obendorfer and Lois Steinberg.  Classes are taught with focus on proper alignment, correct use of props to accommodate student’s range of motion and sequencing.  Health issues brought Prakash to Yoga over a decade ago and with regular practice he continues to be inspired by the healing and transformative power of Yoga.

I stumbled upon the practice of yoga 9 years ago after an injury to my toe sidelined me from other activities. It was the way it made me feel centered and connected to my body that motivated me to deepen my practice. I became certified with Purple Lotus Yoga(RYT) and have been teaching for the last 7 years. As the years passed, the classes that I have taught have made me more passionate about making yoga accessible to people of all shapes, ages and interests. My other passion is to bring creativity into the class while harmonizing the mind and body with breath. They say as a yoga teacher you are perpetually a student. I am discovering this to be true and as I continue to learn and grow in this discipline I hope to share my knowledge and growth with the classes I teach.


Lisa has been teaching yoga in Dallas for over 15 years.  She came to yoga as a college student and has had a life long love for the practice and it’s ability to transform lives.  Lisa is currently studying with ParaYoga founder, Yogarupa Rod Stryker and will also soon be certified as a Y4C, Yoga for Cancer, teacher.

Lisa’s love of yoga and of helping her students as much as possible led her to become a Holistic Health Coach and also an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist.  Lisa is the proud mother of three grown sons and enjoying emptynester-hood with husband, John. Lisa is passionate about creating a safe space in class where all students feel empowered and accepted.  She loves bringing students to that place in them that is always at peace…and always at rest….that place that is pure joy.

manishaManisha received her formal training from a famous institute in India called Kaivalyadhama Institute of Yoga. She is also certified through Yoga Alliance and has been teaching at YMCA for the last 5 years. She loves Yoga since it has a complete body and mind approach and has been practicing yoga for the last 10 years. She emphasis on breath during her practice and can work on individual body needs .


Carla found Yoga in 2003. She believes that the practice of Yoga on and off the mat helps to focus the mind, cultivate inner and outer balance and assists us in the management of every day challenges.  She enjoys guiding her students to deeply relax and receive the benefits that Yoga can offer them at all levels.

Carla believes that Yoga should be accessible for every body. Her teaching style infuses mindfulness into the postures and breathing practices in order to best serve each student’s individual needs. She has a compassionate teaching approach that will guide you safely through your practice.

She is an E-RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance in addition to being a licensed psychotherapist and life coach. In addition to group yoga classes, Carla offers private instruction in yoga and yoga therapeutics, corporate yoga classes, and mindfulness.

skilaSkila began practicing yoga in 2002 as a healthy alternative to prescription drugs for pain management stemming from a car accident. After practicing with many respected yoga instructors and attending several clinics, she became a certified yoga teacher. Now a 500E-RYT, she teaches and lectures independently for several studios and schools nationwide, and is sought after for technical writing, curriculum consultations, and training development by yoga schools. Skila’s in depth studies of special populations and diverse training methods makes each yoga class unique to an individual’s needs. Her teachings are based on a simple truth, “anyone can do yoga.”

Tammy Slauson is a recent transplant from Southern CA,where she lived for the last 11 years. Her yoga practice started 20 years ago while she was a music/theatre student at the University of Louisville. Tammy got her 200 hour Yoga Alliancee certification in 2007 from the Kripalu Center in Stockbridge, MA. Tammy completed her 500 hour training in Viniyoga at the American Viniyoga Institute in Oakland, CA. Although she has had many teachers over the years Gary Kraftsow, Barbra Templton, and Juris Zinberg have had the greatest influence on her practice. Tammy is enjoying her time in Texas and has felt very welcomed by the yoga community in Dallas.

stefStefanie began yoga as a touring performing artist in 2004 for health benefits as a Baptiste Power Yogini, but soon realized the many other benefits of practicing yoga. She especially realized how yoga helped her find solace, stability, and peace no matter where her suitcases took her. She began her journey as an instructor in 2007 and received her 200hr Yoga Certification.

Stefanie loves vinyasa yoga, the yogic art of weaving breath with movement to help inspire the spirit, open the heart, and connect with the power and wisdom in the body. She enjoys receiving requests to creatively meet the needs of her practitioners and loves to offer a practice that is holistic, heart felt and safe. Stefanie enjoys teaching various styles of yoga; vinyasa, hatha, ashtanga flow, hot yoga, hot vinyasa, power yoga; and she has recently become inspired by Sean Johnson of New Orleans, LA. to study and grow in the art of Bhakti Yoga to help people heal through the voice.


KAJA MICHELSON- Int. Dipl. Kundalini Yoga Teacher, Swedish Institute for Medical Yoga

Kaja Michelson is Swedish and moved to Allen, TX with her husband and two daughters in Aug, 2011. For the past decade, Kaja has acted as an advisor, teacher and coach to people of all walks of life on their quest for better physical, emotional and mental health. She is a motivational speaker inspiring her audience to move from a lifestyle that constantly triggers negative stress reactions towards a healthier, happier and more content one by making powerful and fully manageable changes in their every day life. Before moving to Dallas Kaja and her family lived in Costa Rica (2009 – 2011) where she taught Kundalini Yoga at Buena Tierra Studio. She still arranges yearly stress management retreats in Costa Rica.

Kaja holds credentials as Int. Dipl. Kundalini Teacher from the Swedish Institute for Yogic Medicine (1000 h) and as Int. Dipl. Life Coach from ICC, The Scandinavian International University.  Over the last 10 years she has trained with international recognized teachers in Stockholm, New York, Santa Fe & Los Angeles, for example Dr. Dharma Singh, Guru Dharam, Göran Boll & Gurumukh. She is a board member of Rasur Foundation International since 2013 – a non-profit organization working to increase social emotional intelligence through different educational programs for a more connected world.

Tracy has 19+ Years, 10,000+ Hours of Yoga practice and teaching. Former owner of Yoga Balance for 12 yrs and currently is the principal teacher and creator of a Yoga-Alliance Registered 200- and 300-Hour Yoga School.

Tracy attained her advanced teacher training in New York City from Sri Dharma Mittra, under whom she faithfully studied the classical Eight Limbs of Yoga (including extensive asana, pranayama, and meditation techniques), Ahimsa Vegetarianism Diet, Assisting and Adjusting, Satsang of Yogic Truth Lessons and Scriptural Texts. Tracy teaches practical applications of yoga for radiant health, peaceful minds, and joyful spirits.


My Yoga journey began in India where it’s originated. I had wonderful opportunity to practice and learn this self-discipline art of mind-body management with many teachers since my childhood as a part of my school curriculum in New Delhi.DSC_1181

I received my first yoga teaching certification from Param Yoga, India and subsequently acquired international certification from Yoga Alliance. My teachings are inspired by many gurus I came across during this beautiful journey. I studied & practiced different styles of Yoga and realized that the ultimate goal is same i.e. creating a better version of ourselves by self-acceptance and self-realization.

My belief is that ‘Yoga’ is a powerful tool to bring about transformation of positive change in not only our own lives, but also the lives of those we care about. The liberating & positive energy of Yoga allows me to become a more patient and kind soul; thus, becoming a better wife, mother and above all, a better Human Being!! My enthusiasm for Yoga pours into my classes through a deep desire to truly help my students to focus on their breaths,  believe in themselves and never give up On or Off the MAT!!  Sharing magic of Yoga has always been my passion and joy of my life


Meet The Amazing Yoga Grace!  Her practice of yoga started when she was 10, and the love and passion she has grew into 200 RYT at LifePower Yoga.  Her favorites styles are Yin/Restorative Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Slow Burn Yoga, Hot Yoga, and any Vinyasa Flow yoga.  She found her calling as a yoga instructor and is truly passionate about loving on people through the practice of yoga!

Yoga transformed my life, influencing how I live each day. As a child I was a gymnast and life changed when my practice ended. It was a battle I fought many years with many styles of fitness and diet fads that left me empty until I met the love of my life Yoga in 2005. I am a passionate instructor who believes yoga is a wonderful tool for healing and supporting the heart center to stay open to new experiences. I enjoy sharing the knowledge and healing benefits yoga can bring to everyone. My classes include flowing movements, restorative poses, and breath work.
